Looking for something different with scuba? Learn about the benefits of diving in sidemount: comfort, horizontal buoyancy control, and the safety redundancy of two first stages and two second stages for an independent air supply. For those with back problems, this configuration reduces your load since two small cylinders can be carried or taken to the water with a hand truck / dolly. For OW Sidemount, you only need to be an OW Diver. You can also apply this certification towards the Master Scuba Diver rating. For Overhead Sidemount, you must be at least Cavern Diver certified from any agency. Sidemount config or backmount doubles is required if you wish to pursue Full Cave certification and Technical certifications.
