Florida boasts over 300 freshwater springs and many of them are suitable to diving. The visibility in some can reach 200′, although this vis can also diminish to almost zero. Some are available to Open Water divers, while most require specialized gear and skills to be safe. These skills are taught during cavern and cave training. The springs are beautiful, but potentially dangerous. Please seek appropriate training if diving in the overhead environment.
